There are a few aftermarket shops in the US which make them for the old ZC - there was a group buy recently on www.d-series.org (check out that site for more ZC info too)

post a "WANTED TO BUY" in our WANTED TO BUY SECTION (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=28)

None of the gears off the aussie site will fit.

JGE and JUN will be your best options.

are you referring to cam gears? also are you saying that JGE and JUN are similar??!?!?!

i've been offered US$115 plus US$12 shipping for a set og JGE cam gears. how does that sound?

btw, how are Crower Stage 2 cam gears?!

I bought my Cam Gears from JG Dynamics - on the group buy from D-Series.org. Cost me AU$160 per set (got two) to get them here.

For Cams - they are frkn hard to find unless you get Billets or Regrinds. JG does them as well as a couple other companies. Only problem is - they are soo far away when it comes to any type of warranty and im worried about warpage or simply not fitting.

Cypher Industries here in Perth sell mild Cam regrinds for under $400. Good to run with stock ECU and valve train... good for about 15-20HP increase.

There's no such thing as a stage 2 cam gear.

Build quality wise just ask Mike (SINISTR) about them!! I'd have no hesitation in going for a set of JGE gears. A fair bit cheaper than what you will pay for a set of JUN gears.

Most of the ZC build you see OS are running JGE gears :) running between 300-400whp.

the problem tho is having the 'gears' TUNED... my friend had his set installed but NO gains as all the tuners here 'seem to' be scared of tuning gears in? so his are running at stock timing atm which is quiet useless.

He is going to get them tuned in but by Tony Flood in next couple weeks.

Quality of the JG cam gears... I think its quiet good. as said - most US.UK ZCs run them - price is good, quality is good compared to getting some $400 JDM ones.

so theres no real point in getting these cam gears as no one can them?

theres was some mention about JGE gears using stock timing and bringing hp gains.

not exactly - the deal is this: on a stock car, its claimed a set of CAM GEARS can ad up to 9HP (stock CAMS). If you Add CAM GEARS to a set of aftermarket CAMS - the gains are Higher.

The issue is to have the CAMS and CAM GEARS tuned in Properly on a dyno. this involves good few hours on the rollers, adjusting the intake and exhaust gears together with ignition timing and air/fuel mixtures to gain the optimum performance.

CAM GEARS DO GET HP... they just have to be done properly. Don't get Cam gears, slap them on the car and expect to turn 1 degree this way or that way tho... because that could be lethal to your engine.
