hi guys got a slight problem with my EG civic rear brake lights. When the rear brake lights are lighten up normally and when you apply the brake pedal it goes brighter correct? therefore you know when u actually have braked same goes when even they are off and you brake it lights up.

Well my problem is, it all rear lights up, but when u apply the brake pedal it doesnt show you are braking this includes the centre tail spoiler.

What is the problem here? :o

Thanks peoples appreciated

have you check your fuses...or the light bulbs..if they are ok its most probably the wire is stuffed

if ur dash lights dont light up... then ur fuse is gone

So the tail lights are lit just as they should but braking is not indicated ... not in the tails and not in the 3rd brakelight?

The fuse will be the first to check. If not ... do you guys have double-filament light bulbs? If so, the 21W filament could be gone without affecting the regular rear light. (unlikely for both the right and the left side at the same time, but then again, it could happen) It it is the factory installed 3rd check all connectors (all that ONLY IF the fuse is all right). If it is not a factory installed 3rd and it has been put in in series and not parallel it could as well be that indeed the filament is broke and that prevents the 3rd to come on (that would indicate incorrect wiring, however).

Do the following
- check fuse
- remove bulb and refit, check element.
- check wiring, use a multimeter to check if there is power.

have you recently replaced any bulbs recently???

if so then your problem is that the bulbs that u replaced and are wrong...

for example
usually if your indicator is ticking faster then normal then its a sign that uve replaced a bulb with the wrong part and that the car is teling you...
