hey i was wondering if u guys can help me out with my water pump problem

below u can see where the water pump is mounted and u can also see (in the read circle) the bit that is pertruding..

my problem is in the second pic, the mounting hole that lines up with that also has a pertruding bit (red circle)

now i tried pulling them off with pliers and that wont work, its the right part because it matches up perfectly except for the bit sticking out

what should i do?

keep pulling at it to get it off?

cut them both off (somehow)

your help is greatly appreciated guys.

there called "dowe pins"

Id remove the one from the block, use pliers or vice grips. then give it some slide up and down action to get it loose, then pull out while slideing.

I dont recommend cutting them, do it properly and remove it from the block.
