Why did the honda engines spin the wrong way to other cars?

The newer ones (K20A) now spin the correct way don't they?

I was wondering, does it add traction if the engine spins towards the front, ie putting force over the front wheels?

they just wanted to be different :D

dunno ey...

mite be to counter the driver weight so more equal weight distribution.

the motor spinning anti-clockwise doesnt mean its the wrong way lol

wat makes spinning clockwise the right/correct way??

notice how on non K, C, series engines the harmonic balancer is on the RHS of the car, engines that have the harmonic balancer on the RHS, I have noticed turn clockwise, Like the Ledgends.

I believe spetz is talking about the crankshaft/flywheels inertial rotating mass giving the car more traction?!?! The same way a RWD engine will twist on its chassis mounts when free rev'ed...
Correct me if I am wrong spetz...

Yeah iamhappy46 that is exactly what I meant

I took a friends B16A EG to get weighed, and had the front wheels only on the scale.
I revved the engine but the weight over the front wheels stayed the same. I assume this means that engine rotation that does not impact on traction?
