Has anyone installed one of these into their B series, just wondering if it makes any difference in performance. I would think they would as they stop oil fumes going straight into your air intake. But yeah any first hand experience with them. Worth a purchase?

its worth it IMO. stops all the oil n shit going back into your motor. Its not a mod you would do for power gain but its good to keep the car healthy, plus looks tough in the engine bay

yeah it stops the oil fumes travelling though into your intake when cornering hard and so on which then causes your car to blow a little smoke.
they also look cool!

they do not help performance but help to stop you car pingging and hurting the engine. When it burns the oil vapor it reduces the octane rating of the fule quite abit.

and in older cars it seems to catch quite abit of blow-by oil... i last installed a catch can on my old civic and it caught a good 100mls or so ~ which was destined for the inlet manifold and thus burnt off. I think everycar should have a proper "catch can" after the stock oil seperator :)
do you think by installing oil catch cans, it will reduce the 'usage' of oil ?
I usually have to top up my oil every now and then... too much vtec'ing I'd assume.

intalling a catch can will not decrease oil consumption unless it is set pu to drain the oil it catches back to the sump. It will stop your engine burning the oil but so it will be a good thing to do.

just empty the contents of the catch can back into the block at every service ~ that is reducing oil consumption :) ?

Depend how much oil your catching, but at least you are gonna be keeping the engine from getting worse

Hey i installed my catch can about 10-12 months ago, Its on a B16A2 1197 Honda Civic VTiR and so far i havent actually had to empty it, it hasnt seemed to have caught any oil as of yet, the vapours however i would say it helps there,
Performance = No sadly,
i didnt notice any change with the performance
Its all up to you, i think it looks good i mean shiny people that dont know what it is are like "hey whats that"
Its even better if you got your Power Steering & Coolant Bottle Aluminium, It just looks good, hey maybe dip it in GOLD then it will show a bit of bling bling,

where did you hook this up to ? the camcover breather ? Or via the PCV/inlet manifold?
