Hey Guys
My Gear Box is about to have its last legs and I've found the problem to be the 3rd and 4th syncros pretty badly worn, I've been quoted $500 to get them replaced and thats if I take out the gearbox my self.
I have always opted to just changing the box for another LS box but I really don't think its worth doing since LS tegs tend to have pretty high kms on them thus being the same for a box.
My idea is and it may have been covered before (sorry if it has) is how hard is it to intall a gearbox out of a VTi-R DC2 Teg?
I know for a fact that mine is a cable operated clutch and the DC2 one is hydraulic, but would there be a way to modify the clutch mechanisim to be able to retain the cable?
or in other words, is it posible to just swap the fork that the cable usually pulls on and place it on the DC2 box?
I know the box will bolt up to the engine but is there anything else that that makes these two boxes different?
Anyone know  ??????
Cheers!
Alex
