Yes it will, although it will require a little bit of modding to fit correctly.

As Weq said the bolt patterns are the same. As far as i'm aware with fitting d16 headers to a ZC you need to do a little trimming around the outta edging of the bolts. I suspect you might have to do the same going the other way round with them.

If in doubt find a new buyer with a ZC.

As said , ALL D series headers have the same exhuast port stud pattern and basically the same dimensions...small things such as the oil sump or primary/secondary lengths differ between (D series) engines so from the head down there maybe some modification to fit.

As always , trial fit a header first at the workshop or at home to find out what is needed to fit !

sorry to bring old post back. ben when you mean "some modification to fit" are would one expect? simple or completely custom?

found the answer.. a little grinding of the header is involved when interchanging a SOHC header to a DOHC.

i've seen a stock d16y4 header put on a ZC no worries... it didn't require any modifications...

what is needed to be grinded

the ports on the header itself, grinded back to line up perfectly with the engine ports.

turtle the headers will line up and run, but turbulence is messed up and considerable hp is lost. if i was to put aftermarlet headers i'd want them to run better than the stock one.

just be careful of US spec headers as they have a tendency of hitting the clutch slave. I brought a US spec b series header and it hit the clutch slave was no way around it other than cutting the pipe and remaking it to bend a different direction. Alot of fuss for nothing.

Just cos the Amercians drive on the wrong side of the road ;p

so if u bought sohc d series header and put them in my dohc d16a8 crx they will fit and line up with the rest of the exhaust but i will have to grind the ports to match the dohc gasket

yes, but not only gaskets but also the ports on the block.
