View Full Version : Spoon strut/lower arm bar installation

:D My spoon strut bar and lower arm bar are gonna arrived soon and i am thinking of installing them myself.. is it simple and easy?? is there anyting that i need to be awared of like how tight the bolt has to be???.. and do i need to relocate anything or it is just straight easy bolt on??.. answers from ppl that has got the bars would be heaps appreciated..

As far as tighening the recommended torque setting I've seen are 33-34lbs for the front strut bar. That way they are not over or under tightened. I assume that setting would be good for all the bars - lower bars as well?

hey, how do you measure how many lbs u have tightened the bolt?? what tool do i use?

but we do have to torque the nuts and bolts when changin engine oil right?? coz it says it in the manual

i finally received my bars.. but before i put the strut tower bar on. i need to ask a few question..
there is a bunch of wire and cable on the right hand side bolt hole,, and it's stuck right next to the hole.. how should i remove it ot make way for the bar?? just pull the whole bunch straight out??
and i have got 2 bolt for each hole that is 1 bolt with screw and 1 without... which one shoudl go on top?? please answer... i really wanna install it tmr so i wanna know the answer

just remove the things which block those holes
as simple as that

you need to put the other one from inside...under that......just take the wheel guard off and you will see.....above the wheel......there is 2 plastic thing you need to take off to be able to do it....if you change light bulb then you know what am I talking about......hope that helps......

thanx.. i already got it installed last week... haha... and for ppl who may wanna know.. the torque spec for strut tower bar is 1.3 kgm and 5 kgm for lower arm bar..
