EG with B18C and a few other mods..
with Just Car $1098, but insurance doesn't cover my wheels

They cover my friends TE37s which cost him over $3000 for just the wheels..
I don't know why they don't cover mine.. just told me it was too expensive.. maybe compared to the value of the car..

I sugegest Justcars... they are BY FAR the cheapest anyone under 25 will get in my opinion. When I was 19 rating 4 I believe, I was on $800 a year for my ek1 civic.

fusion VTi, thats pretty good, considering im on a level 7 ratingm im guessing around 1500 bux... maybe 2 grands max.. bcoz i asked em about an R32 GTS (non turbo, obviously).. and that was quoted at 2,300.. so i reckon around the 1,600 mark sounds around right!

I just went on that comparison site aswell, and omg wtf? lol so cheap comapred to the other companies dude.. i guess for my green slip i'll be going with Zurich! :D

what insurance company are u with?

im with justcar insurance

b4 when i lived in carlton it was even cheaper

hurstville has a higher car theft rate than carlton/allawah/kogarah

and i got max no claim because justcars looks at ur years driving since Ps. not years insured

so i had my license excluding L plates since 1999 which is 5yrs which is 60% no claim.

i'm with "NORMA" hahaha thats what the ad says.$800 yearly for my EK1 but i think im a rating 2 maybe 1 i think. from what i have heard just cars will only give you $4000.00 if something happens to your car regardless of price of car. a mate had a vs commodore ute with a 1JZ turbo got stolen and only got $4000.00 but i dont know cos im not with just cars.

cheers.

I hate justcars, someone backed into me, I got the details and a witness and everything and they were trying to make me pay the excess... Tried to make me go to some dodgy ass place to fix my car, I ended up writing a 2 page email saying how stupid it was, they sent me a cheque with the amount the dodgy ass place would have cost so I went to the place I wanted to out of pocket a bit...

I'm now with RAA, 22, rating 1, $612.40 comprehensive on Ej8 Civic Coupe.
Just Cars wanted $666 and their product is no where as good as RAA's

i recommemd that u put ur parents name and u as a second driver.
being so young its hard to get cheap insurance.
i pay $1500 for my EM1 with AAMI under me dads name and me as a
driver as well and im 19
NRMA wanted 4K
just car wanted 3K
i dunno y but AAMI ended up being the cheapest :D

07-12-2005, 11:43 AM

comprehensive insurance on my 96 vtir hatch cost me $785.00 per year with rating 1 from fortron but also have a 5 year gap insurance with them so if any thing should happen i will get paid out what i paid for the car not some crapy market value an dat caso $895.00 for years but these prices r in brisbane where the rate of car theft is not as high as sydney glad i moved from smithfield would have cost a fortune then

Full comp on my EK1

Through Allianz $380per year

Mind you i am 31, no previous At Fault Claims and Been Rating 1 For Life for 3 years.

Switching to RAA soon ....Same price just $0 Excess if a 2nd driver (Fem under 25) is driving compared to $200 with Allianz.

Also note that as others have said it is not just your kind of car that u are tryiing to insure but also..

Where you live
Past driving habbits
Prev "AT FAULT" accidents
The type of car you drive (ie a commodore and an ss commie dore are classified as different cars even though they are both large family cars)
Is it a 2 or 4 door
Turbo or Non Turbo
Is the driver Male and in the 16-25 percentile
Mag Wheels
Is stereo stock or aftermarket
Previous traffic infringements
Does it have factory or Aftermarket Immobilizer /alarm

Just to name a few.
