hi, just wanted to share this with you guys. just installed new spark plugs yesterday, called Volker Iridium. the shop where i bought them from claims that they dyno tested them on a stock standard car and gained about 5hp!

i thought it was bullshit, but although my factory plugs are fairly new (4 months old), i can feel these new plugs actually improved performance slightly. engine now feels more responsive and revs better too.

here's their website: www.volker-iridium.com

yup the NGK Iridiums are excellent plugs, used them in my old ride. wanted to give the Volker a go to see if they're worth it. i got these ones from Malaysia recently for roughly AUD$22 per plug.

yes is ok to install iridium on any car apart for some weird cars like RX7 etc
It is important to match the heat range to your car as a hot plug maybe very hard to start on cold days

you sure it's given performance increase or is it just a placebo effect?

why 8?

1.3 is i-DSI (intelligent dual and sequential ignition). ie. 2 plugs per cylinder. Same idea as the Alfa twin spark.

Yeah they do. Or at least the Australian ones. Long long time before they need changing. Can't imagine any advantage changing from one lot of Iridium plugs to another especially if Denso or NGK to start with.

Iridium plug is standard on the jazz vtec model not too sure on the i-dsl
however they are the standard iridiums 0.8mm tip, design for LEV and last upto 100,00kms. The Iridium IX 0.6mm tip only last upto 60,000kms and design to performance. both different specs
