I went to an exhaust place in Melbourne to get my x-force header installed.
After i picked up the car and was on the way home i noticed that the engine light was on :(

I got home and disconnected the posative battery terminal for 10-15mins and put it back on.
After being defened by my alarm I started the car only to find out that the light was still on.

I also took out the ecu fuse for 20 mins and put it back in, but this made no difference.

Also i have noticed a small white haze on the far left of where the header joins to the block? Is this an exhaust leak?

Can anyone help me as I am ascared to drive my car around now...

I have also searched but could not find any specific information relaing directly to this problem.

u need to pull the code the ecu is throwing. there is a FAQ about this int he DIY/tech sections - done by ben.

If they installed a header, im guessing they either damaged ur O2 sensor or didnt plug it back.. just a guess.

Thanks for the info on the error code.

Well I put the paper clip in and i got 4 long engine lights flashes come on, followed by 1 quick flash.

Im guessing this means its an error 41 Primary oxygen sensor heater

Is this related to the people changing over my header. If so do i get them to pay for it?

Otherwise what are my options?

yeah the O2 sensor on x-force headers for teg vtir's is on the header so it would be the exhaust place that's done it. i'd just call em up and explain whats happened, any reputable place that's stuffed up like that will fix it for you at no cost

Look under your car to see if they remebered to connect the o2 sensor onto your new headers. If it is connected, then they have probably damaged the wiring or the acutal o2 sensor.
