Interested in changing the cams for GD4 (vtec L15a) any1 ever think about it? any input on this?

No because I have the whole L15A engine....

Seriously why even bother (even if it would work), there would be so much hassle and expense that it really couldn't be justified....just go buy a VTi/S and get an extra 20kw straight off the bat.

u sure it's a GD4 and not a GD3?

i may be wrong but i dont think there's any aftermarket cams currently available for the L15A vtec.

mmm i actually forgot, pretty sure its GD4 maybe im wrong, anyway apart from the cons from jus-10 which i really appreciate, any1 have any inputs bout changing the cams?

GD4 and GD3 both use the same engine...

Seriously dude what sort of input do you want...some one in Japan has put the L15A head on the L13A block, which would pretty much make it a 1.3 VTEC (but again you must ask why?)

Will the L15A cam drop in to the complete L13A engine? Simple answer is No. The L13A runs a 2 valve per cylinder arrangement, where as the L15 has 4 valves per cylinder. This would explain why the guy in Japan changed over the entire head/valvetrain.

HUGE waste of time and money...It would cost more to get running right than it would to pay the extra couple of grand to get a L15A equipped car.

Sorry but I can not even imagine a slightly justifiable reason to do it (even if it would work)

wat is it has to do wth L13a engine..? BBC03 never mention he/she has a L13a block.

bbc03, are you actually asking if there is any aftermarket camshaft for the L15A?? coz he's got a vti i think..
