hey guys,
just getting an expression of intrest for a system.
what would you guys recommend for a total value of around $3000 which includes head unit, amp, sub and front splits.

the only component i have an idea regarding brand is the head unit which i am leaning towards eclipse, so guys please give me some advice on brands and product id's which u would recommend.

boston acoustics splits.
SL65 or PRO60

i'm running my splits off a 'ultimate' amp, and the sound quality is suberb.
i just installed a MTX amp in my mates car.. and the sound quality of it, is more than enough to please most ears.

you have some good money to spend there

maybe:

$500 for HU (Pioneer, Alpine, Eclipse)
$450 for front splits (Eton Pro 160, Focal 165VSlim/V2, Diamond Audio M361, Hertz HSK 163(3way component, extra work needed)
$150 for rear (Pioneer??)
$400 for 4ch amp (Audison Srx4, JL Audio)
$500 for monoblock (Audison Srx1, Alpine MRD-M601, JL Audio 500/1)
$400 for sub (Image Dynamic IDQ12D4, Diamond Audio M610, Alpine Type R, JL Audio 12W3V2)
$600 for sub enclosure+wiring+installation+Sound Deadening

total $3000

but not all speakers suit your ears, the best way is audition as much speakers as you can, buy once buy right, good luck

Pioneer for Headunit. JL for components and rears. JL or Kicker for amplifiers. JL for sub. Wiring, go stinger. ;)

If you have 3 grand to spend, I would seriously take my money to FHRX tell him what kinda sounding system you want, and tell him to put in whatever will make you achieve that.

He knows his stuff and is an awesome guy to deal with.

I know hundreds of members would reccomend him.

FHRX is based in QLD isn't he? kousuku is in NSW i'm pretty sure. I guess you can ask him for advice but i'm sure he'd prefer to give advice and get the sale.
