the red one is the charcol canister ~ and the yellow one is relevant only to ur previous carb'd engine ( vaccum balancer thingy i have no idea) -

yeh it's only for carby's
anyone know what it does?
is that where the fuel lines come out of for carb'd?
not sure which ones are my fuel lines atm...
although they will all be replaced anyway

The yellow box is just called a control box. It has a whole heap of vac tubes from the carbs and electrical connections. No fuel (I think). It has a whole heap of valves and little breather filters. It is there mainly for emission controls and can probably be taken out even with the carby still there. Earlier model honda twin carbies like the ones on some concerto's etc don't have it at all and are all the more simple to use because of it ;). Fairly sure you won't need it for the new engine.
The fuel lines would have gone straight to the carbies. From memory, the twin carbs have a rail that runs along the bottom that supplies fuel to the float chambers.

thats easy
step1. get a friend to point all the tubes at his face and tell him not to worry
step2. plug in the power and turn on the ignition momenataraly
step3. ask ur frend which hose was attaking him!!! LOL
the feul line sould run from behind the box circled in yellow

and i dont know anything about carbys but i dont think they use the same amount of lines as efi
and definitely run on much less feul pressure

ok yeh i need new fuel lines for efi...
u reckon the fuel line runs from behind that box?
i'll take it off and try it

they should come up near your battery somewhere... follow them from under the floor, under the passenger side of the car.

yes they all come up on the firewall beside the battery and spread across the firewall
note: you can see them in the pic there (the three small tubes together)...

The charcoal canister is also part of emmision control. There will be some vac tubes going back to the control box. Possibly another one that went to the carbs somewhere.

so all 3 are vac tubes?

Your fuel hoses are the TWO hoses(with red writing) that are between the mastercylinder and the black box in the pic. You will not be able to get fuel coming out of them until you have an electric fuel pump, as the carb motor has a mechanical fuel pump on the motor.
The carbon canister has one hose going to the fuel tank, the other 3 hoses will attach to the new motor.
If in ANY doubt, I will be there in a few days to give ya a hand.
Talk soon

See the three metal lines under your battery? They are the fuel tank lines, fuel supply, fuel return and vapour vacuum.
The black box: Remove it but keep the wiring in place, that can be the future engine to ECU wiring harness ;)
Other than that the engine swap is looking good

thanks for that, could i cant figure out all where all the lines go that come out of the charcoal canister...
one of them goes back to the fuel tank
another goes to the purge solenoid
but there are two more, one i think is a fuel line of some sort (as it has red writing on it)
and the other i'm not sure...

if yor going from carb to EFI you can remove the black box of horror ( yellow circle ) butyou must keep the canister in the red circle.

hmm, no one know what lines go in and out of the canister?

4 Lines from carbon canister:
The one on top of another hose, is a vacuum line. When vaccum applied, it will open a valve to enable the carbon canister to work.
The big fat one vents to atmosphere and you will find the bottom of the canister has another hose for the same purpose. I blocked my top one off.
The middle one goes to the fuel tank and the one under the vacuum valve goes to the throttle body(metal hose above TB)
