Air Con rattling noise

Hi guys

When the AirCon is turned on, it makes a very loud rattling noise. It is almost like a tick tick tick tick sound, its very noticeable on the outside.

I wonder what is the fault as I'm sure that a normal working one does not make any sound.

Can someone advise?

Could the fan or something like that and it is hitting against something...

Does the ticking sound vary depending on how fast the fan is blowing?

Is it only when the A/C is on, or does it still happen when it is blowing normal air?

i had same problem, apparently A/C belt was dry

when the fan goes on, the ticking sound goes much louder. the sound appares right at the front of the car.

I'm going to go have this checked by the dealer, as my warranty is over in 2months.

Yeah .. better have that rectified before the warranty runs out...

I was thinking of the bearing in the compressor... but then.. hard to tell.. could be anything..

my jazz does that aswell. well anyways i took it to honda today and told them to check it outs! they reckon the A/C was over gassed and asked me if i got in a accident or got it re-gassed. i was like WTF i only bought the car 5 months ago why would i get it re gassed. they advised me, to fix it they have to clear the orginal gass and re gass it again to the right pressure and they wanted me to pay $120!!! i was like dun worry about it hehehehehe! What they did is they lowered the pressure of the gass of the A/C. i tried it out and rattling noise is gone for now but ill keep you guys updated if it comes back cause im freakin taking it back to those mofoz! hehehehe :) They silly fools i tell u, they tried get $120 off me but really all they had to do is lower the pressure! hehehehe :P
If you guys have warranty and got this problem take it to them and dont pay shyt! hehehehe :)

Hey guys,
I have the rattling noise from the blower vent located in the middle of the dashboard it sound like somthing is loose or that fan is loose or even the air dividers you know the ones that direct air to your feet or the windscreen or to yourself, has anyone got the same problem, i took to honda and they said that they can't hear it i swear they must be deaf as i can hear it all the time and it's very annoying as you focus your hearing on the noise everytime you use the air con. Anyone with this problem please tell me how you fixed it. thanks

isnt your jazz still under warranty? arent they supposed to fix that for free in the first place?

fizz: yeah man dats wat i thought and they said pay and i said dunw orry bout fixing it and i gave dem attitude and they fixed it for free anyways! bunch of punks! hehehehehe :P
