Tweeter location in the Jazz.....

Mainly for those that have either done it or have seen pics:

I am trying to figure out where to place tweeters up the front in the Jazz. I am very fussy about retaining the factory look of the car (inside) and I'm not overly keen on hacking in to the door trims etc.

At this stage the only justifiable position to go is just in front of the door handle (I will have to drill the trim). The tweeters would not be flush mounted though.

Just wondering if any one has any thoughts???

i'd go with the same place that u said..in front of the door handle..i was told that if u dont want to install the tweeters in the door trim then thats the best place u can do..

another suggestion is next to the speakers...

This are where mine are and they sound soooo sweet.

I like my midbass arriving at the same time as my treble. Ain't going to happen if the tweets are heaps closer to your ears.

Not sure about the distance from the woofer/mid in the door though.

Crossfire x6. They are a very bassy set of splits.

Those carryboy speakers are around A$400 + shipping since Carryboy Australia don't handle them. That kind of money would be much better put towards the splits themselves.

bump up this thread. anyone got tweeters placed in their gd3? where did everyone mount them? we didnt get tweeters in this model.

had on the top of the door card, near the window, where the mini column for that little lookout window to the side mirror is. it was already there when i purchased the car, i'd say it's somewhat not preferable as more times than once i've managed to get it wet from rain!
