today while i driving even was normal..
then i stopped at the lights and pressed the clutch in..
something made a noise and the clutch felt funny afterwards
now when i put it in gear it just slips
or if i take my foot off the clutch from a standing start
it doesn't stall..
basically it's half-clutching all the time.

i haven't been paid yet so i can't take it to the mechanic
but i kinda want to have an idea as to what is happening with it

argh! it's so annoying!
sorry about having so many questions guys
it's just... im hopeless with technical things
thanks if anyone has any idea..

motor is dying or the bearings on the sunroof is falling apart.
Like mine.

hmm.. i dont think it's either of those
coz it opens fine, its just when it closes and its meant to go up.. it doesnt unless u push it
the real problem is my clutch!!
=(

sounds like ur clutch master cylinder is gone. do u have leaking fluid inside the cabin? checked the clutch fluid lately?

ms_manda

well, at first i thought it was lack of fluid causing the problem
but i cant seem to find the fluid container.. are there cars without clutch fluid?
if not, where do i find it?
i looked along the firewall, but found nothing

It is supposed to be right next to your brake master cylinder.
what exact car do you have ? Possibly its a cable-operated clutch and hence you dont have a clutch slave cylinder (only hydraulic clutches do ofcourse)

its cable didnt go hydo untill dc2/4
you have a cable with a screw on it adjust that tighter and it will raise your clutch point this may help to get it driving to see a mechanic

they told me i have to replace the clutch :(
do clutches do that? just stop working? coz i always thought they wear away, start slipping and then need replacement

SKREMN

it sounds like pressure plate possibly
but look at it this way
the box will have to come off regardless
so u might as well get a new clutch

ms_manda
