a boxer engine integra??

lol i just saw this white dc2r drive past me.. before actually seeing it i thought it was a wrx/liberty. it had the exact same sound boxer engines have once u fit exhaust systems on.. well after it drove past me.. i saw wat looked like a 4" cannon muffler. can someone plz explain how he got his car to sound like this? :confused: :confused: i want

that happened to me a couple of times just after i bought my car and i thought it sounded sick. it was a like a rotary cross bread wiv a rexy in an integra shell.
panted like a rotar when stopped and then grumbled like a rexy in low rpm when driving.
then realised what had happened and decided it was probably more sensible to reconnect the lead

yeah heard stories about the xforce 4-1 headers, they are untuned lengths or something, so they and up making ure car have a burble...

just take the lid off your airbox and it will probably make that same noise! i took mine off and all my friends said it sounded like a rex! but u lose power and throttle response but its worth it for a laugh when ur getting looks when ppl turn around to expect some loud as rex!!! ha ha

don't know engine ur running under your bonnet, but i definately don't get a "rex sound" with my airbox cover off
all it does it just give an induction sound

but yeh, I have heard a black DC2R in perth that sounded like a WRX. Owner didn't want to tell me what he was running, just told me he got his car tuned at a place called Top Racing :cool:

My type R sounds like rex, and yes it because of xforce 4-1 headers, when I first got the car I was thinking that something is wrong but than I got told by few people that headers are making that sound, I also went to few tuning shops here in perth and they all told me same story "xforce 4-1 headers", I also got told that they are good bang for bucks. I was gonna change them but now I dicided to keep them for a while.
I also did dyno run, 139.1hp at the wheels, that is with headers, cat back and apexi air intake, I got told that it's good result

i think its official that X force B series headers have a lack of proper equal primary/secondary manifold length issue giving this offbeat "throb".
