and where would the be the best place
to look for parts?

THe 1972 - 1979 is just called the first gen civic and the other one is second gen civic.

The rubbers shouldnt be too hard, a lot of auto upholsters do this sort of thing quiet often, just a matter of finding one!

Its designation is a SBC. It can be either a 1226 EB2 powered "1200" in either hatch or two door form or a rarer 1500 (either CVCC or non-CVCC) although we mostly got 4 and 5 door varients.

The good news is that all 1st gen Civic rubbers are interchangable (I've owned 7 of these cars and know from experience). Parts are still available although they are getting thinner on the ground.
