hey i was just wondering if anyone here has an 05 CRV and what their fuel consumption is.

just asking coz a few customers at work have complained it doesn't match the ADR fuel consumption estimate sticker when they bought it

if you can't speak from personal experience please don't reply:)

i get about 450-500km from a full tank..but it ultimately depends on where you drive

ie. highways, or stop and go local areas

when reading the dashboard fuel consumption monitor..i can get it as low as 5L/100km

i think its excellent fuel consumption for a mini SUV...btw i have an auto sport model

yeah they do. one is our technician who is the top ranked technician in aus (a walking honda encyclopedia) and the other is a customer who has had 3 CRV's before but had no problems with them.

another is just some random lol

well the sticker is like 10.whatever but they were getting 11-12 per 100km

i know that the real life fuel ecconomy rarely matches the sticker but the 05 CRV's are the only car i've heard complaints about
(i work in honda service dept so i hear plenty of various complaints)

i was just curious as to whether any members here had any problems as well?

ok i did some experimenting...the fuel indicator in crvs are annoying..because they always have room for emergency fuel space or something

as you know a crv fuel tank holds 58 litres...the needle was two notches from empty (including the empty notch) and when i filled up at the servo..it was only 40 litres gone..so the last two notches in the gas tank indicate to be 18 litres? honda are very optimistic

i did 350km of suburban driving..ie..stop and go...engine is idling..etc

but yeah i think its up aound the 12L/100km its not at all 10.
