as the title suggests, hey peoples i was curious with honda auto's people keep telling me that there extremely weak and cant take much abuse. i would love to strap a eaton m45 or a sprintex s082. but keep it auto. im not in to track racing i just want my city car to have a few more herbs. i love schargers for there low down tourque.

what in the actual auto box breaks from the power. has any 1 actualy built a honda auto to take 150-250kw? i know there manuel boxs can do it.is it like the input shafts that get destroyed or tourque converters????
a second question any 1 ever herd of some 1 running a high stalled tourue converter. i think that would be just funny.

ok just to be difficult how bout any 1 running a f22 with gas injection or gas ingeneral. (i been researching lex v8 stuff and i thought hmmm y not on the honda)

cheers guys
chris

-the 2nd gear clutch pack will go 1st,
-Orings in the clutch pack's fail,
-friction discs in the clutch packs fail.
-revers gear teeth wear out
-o rings in the valve bodys stick/split
-shift solenoides fail
-bearings fail
-metal from the failed bearings circulate in the gearbox beginning the self destruct mechanism.
-lock nuts for the main, counter , output shafts come loose, then the counter idler gear goes out of mesh and wears.( noisy ) also contributing to the self destruct initiation.
-shift fork will bend, making a noisy revers gear selection.
-valve body will seize up.
-tourqu converter failure

all these problems are not limmited to 1 type of Honda Auto box, there just common things I have found in Auto boxes. excessive power will most likely kill you clutch friction discs and or the entire clutch packs. the physicle gears them selfs will handle the power, but the bits interconecting them and holding them in place wont.

I only have ever owned manual Honda's
for two resons
one is driviebility, control of the car
you can guess the other
