Hey guys.

My setup is a 96 EJ8 Coupe, D16y8 Engine.
- I/H/E
- Stage 2 Cam/Cam gear.

OK i have some results here for different ecus vs cam timing i hope someone can decifer this and help me out.

ok....

Stock P2T Ecu / +0 degrees = Lumpy Idle, average power to redline.
Stock P2T Ecu / +5 degress = Smooth Idle, good bottom end, quiet VTEC.
Stock P2T Ecu / -5 degrees = ****ed Idle(Stalls) No power till 5000rpm, but Very very loud vtec engagement, and good LINEAR powa till redline.

JDM P30 Ecu / +0 degrees = smooth idle, good bottom end, loss in power and almost silent when vtec engages.
JDM P30 ECU / -3 degrees = lumpy Idle, good bottom end, moderate vtec noise but when it hits VTEC it feels like B16a Power and pulls hard from 5800 till 8200.
JDM P30 ECU / -5 degrees = Lumpy Idle, average bottom end, still moderate vtec noise, even more power when VTEC hits. Seriously feels like a B16.

Ok from this i want the top end power delivery that my engine produces with JDM P30 Ecu @ - 5 Degrees Cam timing. But VTEC sounds Healthyer with STock ECU, but pulls harder with P30.

I dunno. I know most of you will will say TUNE TUNE get it DYNO TUNED. STFU!!!!!

Im just after a bit of advice on where to set my cam timing to start as a base to get an AFC to tune either a P28 or P30 ECU.

ACtually i know fuk all! hopefilluy someone like ecu man or proecu can help me out on MSN or something.

Haha... funny descriptions.

Good luck on the tuning Kyle :)

personally i'd go with P30/-3 - best sounding description - but i'll leave it to the big boys to advise you!
