system upgarde help

hi there,
i currently drive a honda accord euro and was looking to upgrade the sound system.
i am looking to get speakers,amps and subs installed but wanting to still use the standard head unit.
does anyone know if it is possibly to do???

Well it just so happens that a few of us here do know... :D

It is certainly possible to do. Now lets start at the top because before anyone can recommend you a system they'll need to know the following things:

1. What is your maximum budget?
2. What do you listen too?
3. How loud do you listen too it?
4. How much bass do you like?
5. Do you ever carry people in the back?
6. Do you require boot space?

Once you have answered these question, I (and others here) can accurately recommend you a system (or at least point you in the right direction). :D

^^agree, your budget and what kind of music u liten to make a big different when you choose your system setup, it ranging from few hundreds to few thousands even more. some simple syste made up of a split a multi channel amp and a single sub able to produce quality sound if you get some professional to instal it for you and tuned properly, whereas some crapy installation will turn your high end gear into ****ty system if they don't know what they are doing.

thankz guys for all the help.
i have already got all the gear from my previous car which i have kept.
i have 2 set of splits for the front and back.
i set of bostons and 1 set of pioneer.
2 JL audio 10" subs
1 soundstream Tarantula amp and a alpine amp
i normally listen to hip hop/rap.
boot space is needed
music doesnt have to be to loud as i like it to just have a nice sound to it

you got all gears that you need for a decent setup, if you need to use your standard head unit you need to make sure your head unit has 2/3 sets of RCA but i dont think it does, i am pretty sure you need to upgrade your HU as well. also, 2 subs you required a bigger enclosure which will take up more boot space IMO.

having trouble fitting in 6x9's in the rear as its hitting the two metal bars(boot tensioners?). Just wanted to know what sizes you guys are running for the rears as well as fronts.
