squeaky roof

hi all
i have a 98 delsol with 80k and the roof appears to have deeloped an annoying sqeak/rattle.
any suggestions to fix it?

The roof? Are you sure its not coming from the side pillars?

If its that annoying, I would remove the plastics and grease all the moving parts and metal-metal bits I could find.

I actually used Blu-tac between a few squeeky metal-metal bits at the back (behind rear seats), works a treat :)

it's a del sol... it happens


first thing to do is to get a hold of some silicone grease(DO NOT USE WD-40), and grease up the seals.

If that doesn't work, there are ways to tighten the roof up. Do you have a manual top or a transtop(do you even get the transtops there?)

Regardless of whqat top it is my car duz the same its pretty common in these cars best thing to do is get foam material and put underneath the plastics and anywhere u can put them for some sound dedning also the roof just take it off lol or pump ur music its pretty hard to get rid of sound wen ur car aint brand new

Mate have u fixed the problem yet cause i think i have the same problem, i just got my delsol and ffs makes this irritating noise and my roof aint off bro. like it sounds similar to buzzing noise's not rattling sound, let me know if u have same problem aye? the sound comin from behind the passenger sumwhere there? :confused:
