can an NSX engine (C30A, C32A) be swapped into a FWD V6? say a 6th gen accord which is a 3.0lt V6 also? just a querie, not expecting much reply as i havent even found any info on the net as yet...

What series is the engine in th V6 accord? I can't remember off the top of my head
V6 Legends run "C" series motor so I guess it may be possible in that instance...gearbox would be aother issue, but I'm not fully up on that side of things (if you were to want a manual that is)

you can do whatever you want if you have the time and money.i'm guessing putting an NSX engine in anything other than an NSX would use alot of both

i know that the legends have C30's in them and so does the 95 V6 accord (Japan and america only) which boasts a C27.
i have had thoughts of how would you \ mount it, being an MR the gear linkages would be backwards compared to a FWD.
as for the del sol, would it even fit? those del sols have very tight bays, i havent seen a true del sol in australia yet. why dont ppl drift them? they be pretty rear heavy and spin out if not handled properly

i said make it MR which means your engine bay would now be your boot:wave:
why don't ppl drift del sol's here? COZ THEY ARE FWD

the majority of em here come stock with b16a's, i think it's mainly the electric roof ones that have the sohc crap

ALL audm delsols came with b16a...
the d-series delsols are imports, which most likely have the electric targa

so the del sol was never mid mount stock?
i never really look up on them and assumed that some models came out MR.
off topic a bit...
i need to find a site which has more info on the actual engine i.e specs, mounting positions, gear linkage positioning. i am considering doing it into a 7th gen accord, non euro. i have gotten some feed from the states as to how to go about the swap.

why do you choose the accord ?
if you're spending THAT much money on an NSX engine + labour, why are you putting it in a chassis that isn't performance orientated ?

yeah good point, good luck findign a decent sussy setup for the accord

yeah but that is what5 most people would do, i for one love the family car. i have owned two 5th gens and ma next purchase will be a 7th gen, man i have gotten alot of haters on me cos i chose the heavier contender, that is what i like a sleeper. plus i have managed to lighten my 5th gen and have been eating up B18's and B16's at the track aswell as some boosted R32's and R33's. if you want proof ask barefootbonzai he knows my time has beaten a DC5 type R with cam full exhaust and intake who came with us two weeks ago. my H is stock so far...

by 7th gen i mean the thailand built V6 accord, i like the euro but the accord has nicer body lines and alot of unseen potential in my opinion. i also juz wanna see what honda has to offer in the V6 range rather than there well known hardcore 4's, i mean hondas best engine is a V6 so they must be doing something right...

yeah that def sounds V6, but its hard to tell if it is an NSX engine. one, they never show it and two, NSX engines have that real distinct quad cam sound and it kinda doesnt resemble it. maybe it is ma budget speakers...
