i have king springs on my dc2r which came with the car. i was thinking about putting on spoon progressive springs. i know spoon is more reputable, so is it worth the money to change my springs? advantages?

i was also wondering about the ride height cus i like it low how it is now.

any recommendations for other brands? tein maybe, soemthing along those lines?

spoon only lowers it by an inch from stock... i'd also recommend kg/mm springs but then that is also just an inch

no point..

king arent exactly a bad brand, and unless you have issues with them now (squeaking) - spend the money elsewhere.

Actually I highly reccomend you change yopur king springs either back to stock or to Spoon springs.

King springs are the most **** house springs you could possibly get,and it is money well spent on getting better springs.

King springs totally demolish the handling feel of Type R's amd ruin the shock life.

How do i know ? well i had a friends type R with king springs, we swapped them out with stock and then spoon springs. What a difference its like night and day.

The only thing King springs are good for is poser wannabe's who just wanna lower there car, not suitable for people who actually like cars that handle

well the way i see it, instead of buying jumbo or king, its probably better to make ur own springs.

I don't think anyone out there can say jumbo or king are good springs for cars that handle.

What you just said is possibly the stupidest thing I have ever read.

Kg/mm is a unit of measure of spring stiffness; and believe it or not, is not a manufacturer of springs!

Better to go coilovers. Coilovers is very common nowaday.

ROFL@String and nipnip/hebe.

Good value.

At least he's big enough to have a laugh about it :)

Mate it depends what sort of King springs your dc2r is riding on. If they are you run of the mill off the shelf item with ****ty spring rates and ultimate lowness "brO", then please - replace them with OEM springs till you have saved enough money/done enough research to obtain better items.

It's all about budget and application.

What do you want your car for? Cruise low and look sick? In that case you should have bought a GSi/VTiR ;)

Handle like a dream? Then go back to stock/get KG/MM or Spoon type aftermarket springs - or save for coilovers. :)

or just cut your bump stops then get a set of konis and sit it on the lowest perch...that's a dodgy way of lowering your car...hahahaha...oh and using stock springs rofl
