afaik , the EG6/9 airbox "panel" is the same as our locally sold EG5 ( Si + vti) ~ I have a TRUST "EG6" panel filter in my EG5.

So yes , this panel will fit.

I thought the EG6 air box was bigger than the locally made EG5.
So i thought the air filter woulda been bigger...
Is the Spoon one washable?

i had an JDM eg6 box on my eg5 and teh box is exactly the same dimensions, the only difference in the kanji wirting on the box and the rubber intake pipe that bolts onto the throttle body is bigger

eg5/eg6 panels r the same

Yeah the panels help make the car alittle more responsive unless your gonna get a pod with a boxing for it, they are the next best thing.

I haven't noticed any diff. between the panel and the pod to be sure but everyone else seems to thing the pod is better, but unless you get a proper box for it they are actually worse.

Buy a K&N from EgSi that's what i did. You will feel the diff. also you only need to clean it so it pays for itself.

Limbo, may i ask a silly question as to how you effectively clean it? just soap and water? or vacuum clean it?

You can get a cleaning kit for them - although I am not sure if they are any different to just using soap and water? Maybe Trav can answer this.

u can clean them with anything BUT u need to re-oil it with the special K&N Recharger oil or its useless.

get the kit, they go for bout $30 and last forever  comes with all u need.

i can supply both ;)

i noticed about 2% improvement with response/performance with my K&N panel filter. best thing about it, was it was re-useable and flowed more for longer comopared with a paper filter.

I wouldn't soak it for long periods incase the material got damaged but warm soapy water and then spray it with the K&N filter oil and it will be fine.
I'd let it drip dry also and not put it in the sun.

i think open pods use up more petrol too because it is sucking in hot air.
