Hey ppl
will be upgrading my rims to 18's soon on the dc5r. what width is recommended? 18x7? 18x7.5? or maybe 18x8 :P
am thinking 225 tyres all round but wondering if sticking to 215 is better?
thanks!
215 on 18" is kinda thin
i say at least 225 on 18"
and go with 18x7.5 if you can
18x8 may fit but "might" rub when/if you lower your car

ok thx dude. yeh I was hoping to go at least 225 wide tyres! don't think I would go 18x8 as I will be dropping the car slightly as u mentioned. :D

Just saying, hope you enjoy them!
Even though I knew 18s would slow me down, I wanted to try them out. I had 18s for a week and sold them :) Im now back to 16" stockies!

surely they did not slow u down that much?? was the ride much bumpier as well?
or would 17's be a nice compromise? :)

Didn't slow me down that much, but I could feel extra effort required to get the car moving off the line. Not that noticably bumpier ride either!
Yeh 17s would be good I reckon, but I'd stick to stock rim size and just slam the car ;)
