Yes just got the official pics.....
2 17" otions for the luxury and 1 option for the std....
Honda omg why must u be so boring....one of the 17's looks like a boring old 5 spoke alloy and the other is just shocking....it looks like a 90's Civic alloy!
I do think the 16" option is rather cool and sporty too....
Wheels make a car and i can say these new wheels will do nothing good for the new 06 euro.....They even make the 17" wheel that comes on the car standard look bloody good now lol
Just thought id let yall know
and NO I DONT HAVE PICS TO POST LOL

Saw an 06 euro on car transporter in Perth yesterday. Not so sure about the chrome grill. The wheels had plastic covers on so did not see them

hehe. i dunno. i just posted them up for everyone to see thats all. the top right looks like a rim that holden had on their astras. the top left looks like the rim from WRX and the bottom right looks like a rim from the 200sx except thinner.

Bottom right features on the Acura TL (Honda Inspire/Saber - UA5). Possibly on other models as well.

I agree that the bottom right design looks quite good. I'd have to see them in real life to decide whether I like them more than the MY05 Lux rims though.

If I may say so, I think they look pretty good on my non-lowered Euro too. :D

nice rims bro..i rang honda back when i was looking for wheels and they said they couldnt get them for me..damn..i honestly think they look better on silver or graphite though.
Isn't the lower right 5 star rim the 'Modulo'? That's a nice sporty rim..... pity about the 06 chrome grill.
I look at a 05 lux and I think to myself... 'sporty'. Look at a 06 lux.. I think to myself 'grandma'.
Alright... who actually likes the 06 grill over the 03-05 grill?? Fess up! :D

Albii: Thanks. I spent more money than was sensible on them though - I had to get them privately imported from Japan. That's why the centre cap say "Modulo - Honda Custom Performance" instead of being a standard Honda/Acura logo. Not going to be happy if Honda starts offering them here. There's a certain amount of exclusivity with these rims right now. I'm one of very few people (if not the only one) with these rims in Australia. Oh well. Them's the breaks.
I think you're right about them looking best on graphite. Not on silver though...But you have to admit they're a damn sight better than the original 16"s regardless of the body colour. :D
V205: No, they're called "Penta" or "Silver Star" depending on the country. "Modulo" is Honda Japan's accessories brand - kind of like Holden By Design. Bodykit parts, rims, optional trim bits etc.

nice ride Kleung, those modulo rims are nice, and like you said very rare in australia. It looks as tho they are being offered for the 06 models tho :( - i'd be pretty frustrated in your position, geting some unique rims that will soon be an option from the factory.

Thanks Chris_F.
I think the worst part of it will be people saying that I've gone and bought MY06 rims and put them on my crusty old MY04. :D

kleung, any problems with theses rims on your 04 lux euro ? ive got an 05 standard euro and would love to fit them (i saw them on the uk honda web site ages ago and have wanted them since) but am worried about why honda doesnt officially offer them to standard euros ? i think the 04 lux euro has the same suspension as the 05 standard euro ... thanks
ps:
kleung, i think you gonna be upset. Those wheels (bottom right) are for sale, i saw it 2 weeks ago at the dealer where i bought my euro. They sell it for $1600 (set of 4 + tyres + fitted). How much did you pay for your wheels?
kleung
14-04-2006, 10:28 PM
Stephen_j_k: Not that I've noticed. The wheel arch gap looks a bit odd from certain angles, but that's no different from the 16" rims. The rolling diameter of the 17" rims is essentially identical to the 16" because of the lower profile tyres, so no differences there either. The ride is very slightly harder too because of the lower profile tyres and stiffer sidewalls.
Atjo: Words cannot describe the pain. :) But it was good having a unique factory rims in Australia while it lasted. I paid far more than that just for the rims, and had to pay more again for the tyres (Bridgestone Potenza RE050 in case anyone's interested). But knowing that people pay $60k+ for a povo pack Mercedes-Benz C-class or BMW 3-series or only to get steel rims and plastic wheel covers makes me feel better. :D
Ken
i'd rather just get the standard, then buy a set of TE37's or buddyclub P1's or something.

and $1600 for rims and tyres fitted atjo ? thats a great price. i was checking out prices for the previous design euro 17s + oem tires last year, best dealer price was $3000 here in perth :(
neonode, very nice !

dealer in sydney quoted me 800 PER rim without tyres
thats 3200 just for the rims without tyres
1600 with tyres and fitting is incredibly cheap, if that was on offer in sydney i'd jump to it in a second.

i called a couple dealers in perth, one quoted me $667 per rim which is too much. tried another and he quote me $350 per rim which is pretty good. first dealer also said they wouldnt fit them due to not being recommended by honda, but second dealer would but said it would void suspension warranty, which is the case if u fit aftermarket rims anyway.

WTF800? thats highway robbery! Some dealers are a joke...
Entity

350 per rim is also good
but 1600 with tyres is a STEAL.
i may have to ring more dealerships.

I got the Euro Sport for the different RIMS as I don't like the stock ones on the standard Euro. My preference is still the Euro Lux '05 rims but you can't have everything...
I won't be paying $1200+ for new rims when I already have 17" ones stock though.
