I know someone who has run 30ish PSI and 11.7 on a stock box
But on the other hand, its not how much boost your running it the power its making, driving style and clutch your using

drive it nicely and you shouldnt have trouble, make sure you dont crunch gears when racing, if you got alot of power trying to get the the wheels.. and you crunch all the pressure goes the the box... thats my piece of cheese anyways

I've never really heard of the stock tranny having huge issues. You'll start snapping axles long before you have an issue with the tranny.
Ronnie Liem DC2 from NZ ran a stock honda gearbox when he used to ran high 9 sec pass
Just be gentle. Mis-shifts are the most common cause of gearbox failures as far as i can tell. Our box's are alot stronger then other makes of car, ie nissan's (fwd sr20de box's break under acceleation in 3rd gear like clockwork when power is added)

D series boxes are weaker than the B and H because they are smaller but still very strong compared to alot of other manufacturers, we went 9.0@162mph with a std box, in 2 years we never damaged a box, just replaced a few syncro's.

werd to the posts above
I have only ever seen gearboxes fail when owners dont deserve to own Honda's.
some how cracked the gearbox housings on D series GB on a Stock car as well
Abuse it and it will fail, boosted or not.
Honda MT rule :)

Do you mean CVT? Is there a CVT transmission with the d-series?
If its a 5 speed manual d-series gearbox then its like everyone has said in this thread :)

This might help, it's taken from Maximum Boost of Corky Bell:
Will the transmission and drivetrain be adversely affected?
Very unlikely. Consider that the drivetrain endures mre torque in first gear from the stock engine than almost any turbo can produce in second gear. Occasionally a clutch comes along that won't do the extra duty. Most clutch problems are going to crop up when shifting habits are less than acceptable. Not to worry.
Hope this helps!

Exactly. So it the stock transmission should be okay if it's not abused.
