I'm looking at getting a LSD for my gearbox very soon, however I don't know which one to get. I have been looking at the Cusco 1-way lsd, but i'm also considering a type-r one.

However, I don't think it would be wise for me to get a 2nd hand one, as there is a risk of it being worn out.

Has anyone here installed an aftermarket lsd in their b-series civic/integra?

i've heard good stuff about atse, and apparently quaife is THE shit.

oem lsd's are heaps cheaper, just gotta find someone willing to ship to aus.

helical is the most appropriate for long term application

genesis, i hear the Quaife's are A+ & are clutchless, therefore not requiring rebuilding later on & have a lifetime warranty, regardless of treatment.

i remember doing a search before, and i think BLKCRX aka James said he can source Quaife LSD's for a good price. Might have to see if he still can.

Anyone else thinking of getting one ? maybe a group buy, cheaper prices?

The questions i have to add is, having a YS1 cable gearbox, does that make finding a LSD to match, much more difficult ?

what are the chances of getting an optional oem LSD from the factory for my gearbox shipped in from Japan ? [like the gearbox is over 10yrs old]

well the ITR tranny with helical LSD worked an absolute treat whilst it ran for 2 days. That was until the mechanic thought Redline Oil was the best thing to lube it with and resulted in it totally siezing up on me (apparantly).
LSD was fine tho.
Without full ripping it around corners, i could feel better traction instantly with the stock ITR LSD.

just figured out that ITR and CTR lsd won't fit ek4 without changing driveshafts.

OK well ive just had the mechanic report the problems i have with the box. Turned out it wasnt really the oil as suggested but an incomplete box with missing internals.
