a few days ago wen it was boiling hot, the accord sat in the garage off.
i came home 2 hear a 'fan' on and fort someone had left the car running or somewhat. it was from the car obviously. so i took out the keys.. n it still going, until whoever started the car agen. self cooling while the car is off? but why?
i was tripped out becuz i haf never encountered the accord doing this.

You sure it was a few "hours" after you've switched the engine off? Or a few "minutes"?

its normal
the idea is to keep the engine bay cool, this help prolong the battery life and other items under there that suffer from heat related stress

yeah.. it's normal.. though i haven't heard of it still going for an hour after the engine's been off.
Ocasionaly, coming back from a long drive, i pull into the garage and turn the car off, the fan will kick in, a couple of mins later.
It's basically due to the fact that the engine was hot, and the airflow was cooling things down. Then when you turn off the car, the heat rises (no airflow), hence the fan coming on.
Just cause you take the key out, doesn't mean that everything is off. There's still power going to the electronics, etc..
