Hey There seems to be a slight problem with my car. first of all, its a '92 toyota hiace.

when i was driving on wallgrove road (syd) the car suddenly loss throttle and then regained throttle and after that it kept on bouncing acceleration. This happened in the Past but i ignored it. Happens every day . And now its dead. on the side of the road now. I checked the Oil and water. I checked the battery terminal. I had to get a lift home from a mate.

Can anyone tell me any possibilities that could be wrong with my car?

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Common problem with Hi-ace: Distributor contacts wear out, starts firing ignition coil randomly, loose power.

Need someone who knows what they're doing to put new contacts into Dizzy. Check distributor rotor button and cap while your at it...

this happened to my celica before. When that happened it was the fuel filter. It was all clogged up so i needed to change that. At first it only seems to happen on full throttle under load. Then it gets worse. If you haven't changed it in a while just change it.

Last thing i can think of is it could be is the fuel pump turn the car on and feel the fuel hose. Check to see if there is pressure coming from the pump. If not you up for a new fuel pump.

Also is the Hiace Diesel?
If so they don't have sparks or dizzy, but use compression
