Ok, so here's how 'tis...I had this d16y1 dropped into my lil' breeze around 1/2 a year ago, and it had been driving fine for a while...until it started revving funny n' exploding fuel. So, i got it towed to my mechanics place. He drove it, and concluded that it was the fuel lines n' pump (which was damaged due to the fuel lines still being from the breeze). He fitted the new lines and a new pump as well, BUT that still didn't fix the problem.
I left it there for around 4 months, n' he had a look see here n' there and had the auto elecs in to have a look at the whole wiring loom but couldn't find anything that was wrong with it.
The current symptoms are like this: You can still drive it, but if the throttle is opened up too fast it feels like its dragging back. But if the throttle is opened gradually (like when all of us went for our p's on manual lol) then it drives fine, but it bunny hops a little bit.
It has a new throttle body on it from a newer d16y1 so it couldn't be that. The clutch is fine when it was checked, and besides that shouldn't have anything to do with misfiring right? Distributor is fine as it was replaced not so long ago. Coils i'm not too sure about...but the mechanic assures that they're fine.
My question is, how in the world should this be fixed? If its not the lines, or the pump...then its gotta be electronic right? If anyone has any idea could someone please help? I really need the car before uni starts :(
If anyone would like to come and take a look see in their spare time to see if they can help, then your more than welcome (and it'd be such a great help to have some input from you guys :) )!
Anyway, I hope the information i've given can help you guys see the problem that i'm having. :D
