Hi All,

Does anyone know or can someone tell me where to find out the recommended PSI I should have for my tyres?

I have 17in Goodyear tyres for my DC2

Thanks

I put atleast 40psi in my 215/40R17 Hankook K104s.

Most of these lower profile, high performance tyres you need about 40psi to get a good footprint on the ground for some good grip. Also it will keep the mileage up on those tyres.

WTF???? shouldn't it say on the side wall of the tyre????

Have a look, coz that is pretty much what the manufacturer has recomended as a max pis to be runn on that tyre.....

OK - it says 215/40ZR17 on the tyre

What does that all mean?

it should say on the tyre placard in your door jam or wherever it is on an integra

Isn't that only for the standard 15in tyres that come with it. I've got 17in tyres

The tyre placard pressure recommendations only refer to the stock wheel and tyre size. It is correct you need to run a higher pressure in lower profile tyres, the tyre sidewall will state the maximum pressure allowed, written something like "do not exceed xxpsi max pressure".

Perhaps try high 30's up to 40psi (or talk to your local Bob Jane's or other reputable company), in the end make adjustments which allow the tyres to wear evenly, eg. under-inflation = tyres wear on outer edges, over-inflation = tyres wear in the centre.

Wheel alignment will also affect tyre wear, but depending on camber and toe settings will only cause excessive wear to either the inside edge or outside edge of the tyre, Make sure these are correct according to the factory specs beforehand.

Thanks guys - it says 44psi max on the tyre sidewall.

It was right on the bottom upside down - so I must have overlooked

Thanks for your help
