whenever i put tweeters in any car, i usually put it up high near the side view mirror. drill a hole big enough for the tweeters to sit flush in the door.

piller mounted tweeters seem to give off good sound, as their almost at ear level. just make sure that they dont face the windscreen, as theyll resonate off it.

i put mine right on the little black plastic triangle where the mirror attatches, sounds real good right there

This is the best sport for them just in the corner of the door
good leval to hear them from
and easy mounting that pannel just pops off one clip and hooks under the trim

Your FRONT speakers are your most important, personally because you are just there and you want the music coming towards you rather than coming from behind. I'm not a huge audio fan but i made sure i got some quality focal splits upfront and mounted the tweeter in the dooor.

Already sent you the pic kallan but ill post it for others.

I also have my tweeters mounted into the door. However the vinal on the door expands and can cause the tweeter to come loose and rattle. I had my tweeters remounted when they first came loose to fit the expanded vinal. They have been fine since then. However i still dont trust the door vinal, and would therefore install into the side mirror plastic with my next component set.
It looks better on the door though.

Belongs in Audio/Video.

My tweeters mounted in the door actually dont come out of the vinyl at all.. The main lil plastic frame is secured from the back then u just grab a lil bit of double sided tape and hold the actual tweeter in its frame. Looks best and works well.

depending what brand tweeters you have they can come with secure mounts that flare out and its impossible for them to fall out

normally in a split system you have the tweeter and woofer connecting to a cross over and then this connect to the output of the amp or headunit
in your case being that you purchased ancient speakers they do not have a crossover
you tweeter consistes of a inline filter mounted on the tweeter and this takes out all the low frequencies
and same but with the high on the woofer
so you just connect these in line with each other, the output to woofer, woofer to tweeter or what ever way you want doesnt matter as long as they are on the same output line
just get the polarity correct

like any speaker its not best to be exposed to direct light but if they have a cover on them they should last a good few years
I have seen subs warp in the sun

Some people will say kick panel is the best place for tweeter, some will say high up on the door, some will say dash (although most have said pretty much the same in this thread) try blu-tacing the tweeters in various spots, having a listen, and see which one works best for you
