hey guys.

my car overheats sometimes, i figured its the fan not coming on....

so, i know the fan works cos i tested it.

now should the fan come on for a sec at startup? if so i know the thermoswith is good...

the relays i think are fine cos i swapped them...

anyone with any ideas?

stick a paper clip in the plug of ur fan sensor, to bridge it out (u will find it on the thermostat housing) unplug it and bridge it out. ! ur fan should start. if it doesnt might b the sensor!

its your thermo fan switch
when testing these, they do not vary resistance, they are a on - off type of sensor.

you have to boil it in water and test for continuity.

i had the same problem, ended up being the thermoswitch situated at the thermostat. You can bypass this by puting A wire in the plug of the female points, this will make the fan work again only thing is its continuously on when car is on. hope this make sense :o
