It's been such a long time since posting here (due to work) but i just wanted to say that by this afternoon/tommorow morning i should have a set of 17x8 mantis roh's on my baby accord.:D not a moment too soon either as my tyres are as bald as. well thats about my say for the now.

mmmm not really keyed into details of the tyres, but there 235x45x15 kingstar tyres i think. see how they look when they go on, might lower the car to suit

If you're putting 17's on your car I would recommend lowering it if you haven't already, will look quite 4x4'ish if you don't.

235/45/17 seems kinda wide. Never seen anyone with that size. Most popular would be 215/45/17 and 215/40/17.

Razaman, just curious, the "215" bit, i know thats how wide the tyre is. but what does that convert to in terms of rim width. Reason being is because i got 17x7, however the guys at bob jane say its rare to get a tire for that rim, espeically for a big car because the tire is too narrow (usually 7.5 or 8" s the norm) what specs should i be looking for? xyz/45/17? 205? 195? Don't mean to hijack. sorry.

I've got 17x7's and use 214/45/17 tyres. They are a very common size, as is 215/40's. can get them anywhere.

i wanted to wait till they put the wheels on before i lowered just to get an idea of how it looked. thanks for the tip. another thing i forgot to mention was i got the in silver rather then chrome, not stingy, just more inclined to the looks of silver

i know nothing bout tyre specs so i told them 17x8 and rubber to suit.
