Hi all i got a b16a2 was upgrading my valve springs and thinking of putting CTR or ITR cams or maybe even a stage 1 Toda/skunk2.
Now my questions is how good are the valve retainers in the b16a2? will they be good still for 9,000 rpm or what's their limit?

You can use the the STD retainers as the ITR/CTR are the same as the B16A and are ok for 9000rpm but the cost of Titanium retainers these days I persornally would upgrade when doing the valve springs,I normally use the cam manufactures valve springs that they recommend for there cams and they are not miss matched valve train parts as this sometimes leads to failures, hope this helps in some way.

OOOo thanks. I got myself ITR springs so that will be real good with the retainers as they are the same. Prob getting some ITR or CTR CAMs just seeing what is available.
