Hey if i wanted to Turbo a SOHC VTEC D16Y8... running only bout 6psi... would i be able to retain my internals?

and if so... how much around for a el - cheapo kit guys? i dont think i can afford a proper Greddy or AVO kit or nething

Your internals should be fine at 6psi as long as you dont put your foot down 24/7.

I'm not sure how much the AVO kit is, but if the Greddy kit you plan to get (like Weq's) is too expensive, i'd stay away from turbing your SOHC VTEC mill. Do it right or don't do it at all (unless you are prepared to pay for damages).

i do man but i practically finalised a deal for the VTI Coupe today... only thing preventing me from coughing up the dough is that i'm looking at a VTIR tomorrow as well... hahahahaha good memory

may as well get the vtir, do a few things like i/h/e and a hondata bwhahaha :D not bad as a forum member here has posted up......

FI is good, but boosts insurance by alot, and isn't very reliable unless you spend big $$ :P

LoL FI is boosting my insurance by $200 a year, not exactly a lot :P

In fact, i have found more insurance options when asking about the car FI than when it was just lowered on 18's ;)

Hey there ghost, where u from? if ur in brissie i know a mate that might be selling his turbo kit. He's got a coupe with the sohc vtec engine too.

chubs, try vigil or shannons dude, both were happy to give me insurance. Just Car were also, but wouldnt give me my full no claim discount
