hey guys,
I have been told that if water lines are run to the turbo on a B16A, the engine may overheat as the water will be too hot after it exits the turbo.
I have also been told that its ok not to run water lines....
What can be done, will I be ok not running water lines or will this destroy the turbo. Is there any solutions for this problem??

Na that is incorrect.
I have my water lines connected to my Gt28r on my b16a and the car temp is very cool still. Hotter then normal but still very safe. It will depend how you drive it, tune etc, on and off boost around the streets should be fine. I drove mine around brizzy on the weekend with mid 30 degree day temps and my car is fine.
A couple of things that would be ideal is to get a lower temp thermostat which will open earlier to keep temps down as well as a lower temp fan switch. An aftermarkent Oil cooler would be a good idea too.
I would not run the turbo without the water lines if they are there to use.
Hope that helps.

if your worried about the turbo heating up the temp of the water..... simple install the turbo water lines on the return to the radiator.

i wont be using water lines on my turbo....although my turbo isnt the most expensive to buy another one....
ill see how it goes....
i've been running a water cooled turbo and no thermo fan (it shat itself, and i am lazy) for, oh, nearly a year now. So i can safely say that running the water lines wont cause problems for a street car which isnt running high boost levels
