Any true LSD with clutch packs will clunk at low speed cornering..... carparks is where you will notice it most.

This together with having to rebuild units as the clutch plates wear out (so having to pull the gearbox apart every time) made me go with the Quaife unit.

quaife? wots that i didnt no you had to rebuild them how often do you have to rebuild them. i really dont want a bad clunk as it is a daily driver and used on the track bout once a month

wots that i didnt no you had to rebuild Yeah.... I gathered that!

Like I said.....if you are daily driving a car that sees occasional track work... your best off with a helical/torsen type diff, as opposed to your clutch type LSDs.
Do a bit more reading up on the differences before making any decisions.

Isn't the spoon LSD just a 'tuned up' ITR LSD?

Or is it a completely different unit built from scratch?

Haha yeah you would expect that from Spoon given that they do that to like their internals ie. OEM pistons further balanced etc.

But no, the spoon LSD is a clutch pack type vs torsen/helical diff found in the OEM ITR tranny.
