how to tune my engine.

I use accord Vigor CA3 B20a engine. My question are\

1) How to drop my RPM from 1000 to 900?? Form my reading, there is an idea to slightly turn my distributor angle. But how to do this, do i need any special tools??

2) Sometime my ECU gives me error code 7, which is throtlle angle sensor problem, the result, my rpm stuck at 1400 all the time. But if i reset my ECU, this problem settle. After park my car for more than 12 hours, this problem come again.


What should i do????

maybe carbon/gunk buildup into the throttle body - give it a spray with carb cleaner + a toothbrush and scrub it out abit. Reset the ECU to hopefully clear the code after.Might help that code 7.

How to clean the throttle body?? Just spray thru the intake or need to remove it first??

take off the intake arm , open throttle body with your finger and spray a fair amount in and around the throttle opening. Get a old tooth brush or pipe cleaner in there and give it a good scrub at the opening and around the edges of the throttle butterfly. Once done either spray clean air inside to dry up excess or wait alittle...reinstall and start car and let idle ( car might struggle to start first time - dont worry)

I did all the cleanning. My rpm is better now and i found my fast idle vavle does'nt work.. This Valve slightly open when the engine reach operating temperature.. this is due to no heat water flow inside the fast idle vavle. Is this cause by the thermostat stuckly open or stuckly close??
