Shyte.

The protect light on my amp is coming on, this only started happening 2 days ago, now my sub cuts out when it happens!?! If i turn the head unit off, then on again, it's fine until the light comes on again. Any possible reasons for the light coming on?

I am running just a small clarion 2 channel, 400watt amp bridged to a clarion pro series 12" sub. Gain is on less than half.

HELP!!!!!! Have i blown something!?! lol

Ta, Benny.

What amp model and what sub model? Check to see that the sub is wired to the right ohms and/or the amp has the right fuse(s).

usually when the protector light comes on is when something is causing the amp to cut out so it doesnt blow.. have you chekced all your wiring to your amp, to make sure that the power wires are not touching, the speaker wires are not crossed..

try taking the speaker wires off it so just have the amp powered on by it self and then see if the protection light come son...

its your ground, or 2 your IC are fryed...
try grouding properally first, sand the mofo back to bear metal then go from there.
cuts into protection mode becuase your amp is starving for power.
btw make sure the batt terminals are on properally IE no movement at all.
