View Full Version : double checking sus question
hey guys, i have an EF3 and i'll be putting 96 ITR sus on it. just wanting to double check what needs to be changed in order for the ITR sus to fit.
all i know is that i just need to change the front forks to EG forks, i have EG5 front forks. also the rear lower control arms are ok because EF3's come stock with EG6 LCA's.
someone verify this?
thanks.

it will be quite high. As long as the rear control arms are made for "bush" style rear sussy it should fit fine.

mm.. yea i know it'll be high but as long as it doesn't roll as much it's all good.

i think he means for you the check your rear shocks to see
if there folk or "bush" eye style at the bottom where it connects to
your LCA's. dc2r/eg6 are eye style :) but as you said they are hairy "bush"
type so should be compatible, i think.

^^ what he said.
I mean , the rear control arms NEED to be like the EG6/DC2R rear ones.
Capiche' ?
capiche! you kinda confused me though.. if i have EG6 LCA's its all good right?

correct :D good luck
show some pic when done
okok! will do. thanks guys.
mm.. the fronts are on my car, such a b*%@#h getting them on though..
but the rears have no chance in fitting.. would it help if i took the LCA's off the car, put the sus in and then bolt the LCA's back on?
any problems with taking off a LCA?

can someone tell me that this is 100% true!??!?! i'm having doubts that the rear sus fits!
done and done, rear sus had to be shaved but everything fits.
btw, would there be any problems with this setup? i think my car is too light for the sus..

well it is designed for a car that weighs a good 300kg ish more. Thats like 90kg each front corner and 60kg each rear - it will sit quite high lol
yea i put the sus on knowing that it'll sit high, but that's not what bothers me, i feel like my car is on trolley poles, it's damn stiff.. but i guess if anything thats a good thing..
