Hey guys, will be doing this conversion in the Near Future.

That is in my EG Civic, Origionally a D15b7 Sohc Non Vtec and converting to a D16y4 Sohc Non Vtec. Basically i want to know with this conversion will the misc hardwear from the D15 Suit the D16. By this i mean Will the Engine mounts, Drive Shafts, Wireing Loomb, ecu, gearbox will they all be compatible or will i have to use all the y4 gear.

If i do, the Y4 came out of a 2000 EK Sedan so the mounts, drive shafts, etc etc would all that hardwear out of the Ek bolt on to my EG? Or would i have to go custom with a few things

Please let me know asap!

You should be able the following from the EK - mounts, driveshafts and gearbox.

The only problem you will face is wiring. Since your car is an EG and is OBD1 neither looms or ecu will be plug and play from either car. You'll need someone who really know there stuff to wire it up.

So you can use the EG (D15b7) Mounts Gears box, drive shafts with the EK (D16y4) Motor?

Basically, the engine bolts up to the D15B7 gearbox and all the driveshafts, gearbox engine mounts etc will be the same.
Only difference will come down to wiring, you can do the wiring swap over to OBD2 which has been covered many times before.

so if im useing a microtec for the tuneing and the the d15 ecu for interior accessories, will i still have to change over the d15ecu to the d16 ecu?

You will have an OBD2 Distributor, which is not compatiable with the D15B7 ECU.

Better off just having the Microtech wired up to suit the swap and as you not have VTEC, you should have enough outputs to run your ancillaries such as A/C, etc

your OBDII ECU will also have an Immobiliser if its from an AUDM car.

there are ways around this though
