cd stacker changer help ?

hey guys i have a stock cd changer in my crv and its playing up. it gives me an error "err" and if i put a cd in it ejects it straight back out without reading it.
any one have similaqr problem? maybe suggestions on what i could try to fix the problem? thanks

its either an alpine or a kenwood, pull it out and have a look underneath.

alpine's might not show that they are alpine, but their serial numbers start with a letter followed by 8 numbers.

kenwood's will actually have a sticker saying its a kenwood.
