Hey people...
i was just wondering what kind of clutch i should get for a 94 hatch vti..
it is pretty much stock with exhaust and air filter... any suggestions guys?
i was wondering if i should get the heavy duty or something... but is it really worth it..
sure i want to grab the gears better when taking it at the lights n stuff.. but is a stock one good enough or should i be getting a heavy duty or vbrass button
help me guys.. hehe

Regards,
Pda

if your not gona do major work i wouldnt go anything more the a heavy duty sports organic...

dont know how much a stock clutch for your car will cost but you can get exedy heavy duty clutch kit for approx $300 - 350... if the stock one is gonna be around the same maybe u should consider the heavy duty. its not much harder than the stock clutch...

HD brass button is a bit hardcore... like 00 coupe said...

I got Exedy HD organic in my Vti and it runs a dream.. the only critiscism i have is that the plate is soft and hence the pedal is soft... BUT this can be fixed by using a heavier clutch plate.. no hassle...

the exedy will provide you enough grab to run a mild turbo or NA...

i ran a stage 2 exedy (organic disc, 69% uprated pressure plate) on my old setup. felt like stock and held 11psi. that was about its limit. I think it was 370 new.

that said, UNLESS you plan to turbo, just get the cheapest clutch u can find IMO.

HD does the job for daily and fun applications.

Dont go brass button. The undrivable nature of them makes them so not worth it unless u need it to handle big numbers.

brass buttons are by no means un-drivinble. just make sure the hub is sprung and its like any other clutch, just has a smaller zone of engagement.
