View Full Version : need a customer make intake adaptor ~

hi, just wondering, i have got a apexi air filter which the hole's size is 80mm diameter, but the intake pipe of my ek4 is 75 mm ... i can't find any adaptor which can convert the 80mm to 75mm, where can i get a customer made one? by the way i m in brisbane ~~~ thx :)

did u get the rubber thinggy?? it should be ok if u clamp it.. just out of curiousity, wouldnt the apexi fit the intake since its 5mm bigger?? or just use the provided rubber thinggy(dont knw wut is called) :)

ya .. the 80mm hole will fit with the 75mm adaptor, it works ... but i dun wanna lost that 5mm, i think it will have better air flow if its a 80mm adaptor .... :D

The rubber grommet on the air filter should squeeze down to the 75mm intake pipe. It will function almost like a reducer pipe section.
However, if you must have one, any exhaust shop should be able to make it up with a section of 75mm pipe and have one piece stretched to fit the air filter. Better to take the original intake pipe and air filter and let them see what you want
