Just have a few questions here if any1 can help me out;

I am in the process of doing a D16Y1 SOHC Vtec into a EG .. the old motor was the Twin carby piece of S%$t. I have the E.F.I tank e.t.c just a few things i wasnt sure about and thought i'd deal with them when i get to ...

1. The EFI tank has a few plug connections on it ? Will there be plugs already under the car for this ? ( or does the carby tank have them also )?

2. The fuel rail on the D16Y1 has a wierd connection that obviously needs another peice to connect ( e.i its not just a simple hose clamp style.)
How do i attach the Fuel hose coming from the fuel line on the car to this ? My old carby setup just had a clamp that was connection to a small metal line.

3. Can i just purchase any Fuel filter .( e.i - someone said in another post to use a filter from a skyline e.t.c ) and mount this somewhere inbetwen the fuel rail and the fuel line ?

Any help appreciated.....

Thankz

1. you mean the electricals for the fuel tank? if you do then:

your carby and efi fuel tank both have the fuel level electrical connector, however, your carby wont have the electricals to turn on/off your fuel pump. you will need to buy a relay and wire that up.

2. and 3.

you could use any fuel pump but u would have to do some cutting and fitting. Wouldn't be too much trouble but it would be best/safest (because of the banjo bolt) to find the proper civic fuel filter. You should also try and source the OEM hose that goes from the fuel line to the filter.

I've done 75% of this swap, she should start up tomorrow if all goes well for me. Feel free to shoot me a pm - i think ur close by to me so i can help u out if need be.
